Kublai Kwon is a Los Angeles-based music industry veteran of 20 years, born in Washington state, raised in Alabama, educated at Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Oxford, and the University of Southern California, and who  has also lived and organized in Atlanta. Born into a music family, as first cousin to South Korean legend Shin Hae Chul who is considered the pioneer of the Kpop genre as we know it today, he has enjoyed a diverse career as a “360” music businessman.

Starting as a concert promoter in L.A. in 2001, he sparked the long dormant Asian American music scene through the founding of the Asian Hip Hop Summit festival, and helped launch the careers of acts like Far East Movement and Dumbfoundead. He moved into bookings and tours by 2008, and through White Mountain Agency, became widely known in the industry as a master of hip hop tours, crafting album release tours for acts such as B.o.B, E-40, Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan, and Wyclef Jean.

Along the way, he also established a record label, Red Kloud Society, which produced numerous mainstream hits in Korea, while also putting out songs in America by artists like Snoop Dogg and Ghostface Killah. As an artist manager, he made Yellow Boyz from Atlanta a household name in Korea.

In the midst of the pandemic, he has ventured into the field of online events through his new promotion company 400 Dayze, and in August of 2020 created a successful Asian American/Kpop virtual festival series called Joy Ruckus Club, which had 700,000 viewers.
